F3 6/50 letting go .......... and let God

My friend Dee and I were having a great conversation the other day about how we try to take charge of our lives and forget about the One who is really in charge. We're so busy with the everyday hustle and bustle that we forget to slow down -- and wait on the Lord to direct our lives.

Take time on this Sunday to stop, relax, and listen for what the Lord would have you do. Quit trying to force His hand.

I know, easier said than done. But at least give it a shot (or two, or three, or four......).

This is a Photoshop enhanced (right, like you couldn't tell!!!) photo I took of my hand yesterday when I was pondering what to do for #6 of F3.   I set the camera on 2.5 secs at f/22, stuck my hand in front of the lens, and started moving my fingers around.    It looked pretty cool, so I shot about 20 more.    And -- of course -- I had my 50mm lens on.

I call this one "Letting Go".

I used a number of textures (and his bird brush), most of them from Shadowhouse Creations. If you are a texture freak (like me), check out his website, his work and his textures.

Well, I can smell the garlic roasting (uuummmmmhhhhh yummmy).  I better head to the kitchen and start the dough for Super Bowl Stromboli!!!

Have a beautiful, restful day!

Matthew 10:29-31
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

PS -- go Saints!

  1. Words to live by! Unfortunately the good Lord had today planned out for me already, what with the blizzard we had yesterday! My day will be spent digging my car out! No rest for the wicked!

  2. But -- Anji -- just think about the great exercise you got, while I was sitting around on my ever growing rear, eating stromboli!!!!

I hope the weather clears up for ya'll. We are expecting snow (but not much) later this week. It's rare if the snow accumulates, or sticks to the ground around here. Take care!
