A cold, windy day in Wichita Falls, Texas

Rick had just left last night around 10:15 p.m., when "BAAAMMMMM" something crashed. You can't imagine how comforted I was when all four dogs looked at me with "what do you think that was???" looks on their faces.

The artic blast evidently had just hit. Well, I thought a huge limb from my huge tree out back had broken off and fell on the roof. So -- I got up and started checking out the house.

Well, to my relief, the wind blew my kitchen's side door open (luckily none of the glass broke). Evidently, I hadn't locked the dead bolt. So the good news is that none of my dogs was brave enough to check it out (otherwise, they'd have hit the high road and I would have had to chase them down in the frigid, windy cold in my pjs), and the bad news is that none of my dogs was brave enough to check it out (who knew none of them were guard dogs??)!!!!

I'm still way to cold natured to get out and try out my new lens on the real world, so I'm just having to snap away in the house.

A feather and leaf blown in when the wind blasted the door open.

Well, here's to warmer weather and braver dogs!!!!

Have a great evening!

  3. Luckily it wasn't anything serious, and luckily you don't have brave dogs ... I think.

Get out there and give that lens a try! However, your home shots are pretty darned good!
